Reading Inventories and Assessments
Many parents are curious about their student's reading levels and would love to know what, specifically, should be focused on (and how) in order to help their student continue to improve in literacy. The beginning of summer vacation can be a great time to set goals and get to work so that students don't lose momentum during the time off.
I offer a thorough, one-time, reading inventory and assessment with comprehensive results and prescriptive directions on how to help your student. The assessment package enables you, as a parent, to know what your student's strengths and areas of needed improvement as a reader are, and what, specifically, you can do to foster their literacy.
This comprehensive assessment takes 1-2 hours with the student, I then score the assessment and give you written results highlighting your students reading level, strengths, area(s) of needed improvement, and specific recommendations for you as a parent to help your child. If you are interested in further recommendations or tutoring sessions at that point, sessions can be scheduled. This option is frequently used as a one-time service for interested families (families who home school, who have recently relocated, or who are wanting an objective, second measurement of their student's progress).
The Inventory and Assessment Package is a one time fee of $250.
This service is still being offered, but, due to the Coronavirus, the manner in which I assess students has changed a bit to accommodate meeting virtually.
